POWERCONNECT.AI is a deployed AI platform for utility customer operations, live and referenceable at utilities today. It is available now as a standalone acquisition, or together with the CIS integration consulting business.
POWERCONNECT.AI applies AI to the part of a utility that customers actually touch, the contact center, the bill, the service order, and the dispatch queue. It was built specifically for this industry, and it already connects to the systems utilities run on, including Oracle, SAP, Hansen, InvoiceCloud, Paymentus, Kubra, Net2Grid, and Neptune.
The company was founded in 2023 by a utility technology operator and reached majority ownership in early 2025 by BHC Global, a systems integrator with 27 years inside these platforms. It sells to municipal utilities, water authorities, and investor-owned utilities, and it carries live production references, which in this market take years to earn.
Real time assistance for service representatives, drawing on internal documentation and utility systems
Conversational handling of inbound calls across multiple languages
Digital self service across web and mobile channels
Automated triage and resolution of billing exceptions before they reach a person
Unified account view assembled across disconnected utility systems
Service order and field dispatch intelligence
Utilities are entering the largest capital cycle in their history while being told to hold rates down and absorb demand growth they have not seen in a generation. The work lands on a back office that was sized for a flat world.
Every data center interconnection, distributed energy program, and dynamic rate structure multiplies billing complexity, exceptions, and customer contacts. Headcount cannot follow that curve, and the labor market for utility customer operations is already tight. Meanwhile the underlying software is aging out. Older Oracle Customer Care and Billing releases are falling out of full support through 2026 and 2027, SAP's utility customers face maintenance deadlines in 2027 and 2030, and a system on sustaining support receives no regulatory or tax updates, which becomes a real problem for anything that produces a bill.
BHC Global has spent 27 years inside the customer systems utilities depend on, modernizing billing and customer information platforms across North America. It acquired majority ownership of POWERCONNECT.AI in early 2025, and it remains one of the most experienced independent Oracle Utilities practices in the market.
A buyer can acquire POWERCONNECT.AI on its own, or acquire it together with that consulting business. Both paths are open and both are worth a conversation.
Either way the integrators drive the growth. They sit inside the accounts and they want technology worth bringing to their clients. Standing on its own, the platform can work with all of them. BHC Global becomes the first and closest of those partners through a reciprocal referral agreement, sending implementation work their way and customer operations work back the other way. The same structure then extends across the wider Oracle and SAP utility partner ecosystem, where dozens of certified firms carry decades of client relationships. Each one widens the addressable market without adding a consultant to the payroll.
There is room for the product to grow as well. It already works in the customer layer, one step from the system of record itself. Smaller and mid sized utilities are being asked to make platform decisions as older releases reach the end of full support, and a modern cloud native billing and customer information system built for that segment is a natural next chapter, with the references and the channel to sell it already in place.
Deployed and paying utility customers, including a Florida county water utility named publicly in 2025. The team is currently bidding into an active eight figure procurement at an existing account, where the platform's share alone would be a meaningful addition to recurring revenue. Utility procurement runs on peer reference, and those references take years to earn.
Seven modules covering the customer operations stack, pre integrated with the billing, metering, and payment systems utilities already run.
The platform's creator and product organization, with retention structured into the transaction rather than assumed.
The transaction is structured so existing obligations are satisfied at closing and the business begins under new ownership without legacy debt.
Roughly 340 US public power utilities serve more than 10,000 customers, alongside 177 investor owned utilities and the larger cooperatives. That is a finite, nameable list, and it is the same list the integrator channel already covers.
